I am constantly discovering that my daughter knows things that I am not aware of. For example, she opened presents on Christmas and her first birthday last year. She also has a picture of a wrapped gift in one of her board books. But I didn’t think she actually remembered what a present was. My mother-in-law sent some wrapped Christmas gifts the other day. I began to take them out of the box, and Violet ran over to me screaming “Presents! Presents!” She was so excited that I had to put “Elmo’s World” on to safely sneak them out of sight. Now I know not to put any presents out until Christmas Eve!
